“Creativity is an attitude, a way of looking at something, a way of questioning, perhaps a way of life — it may well be found on paths we have not yet travelled.” - Viola Spolin
I teach workshops in the Chicago Public Schools for The Second City Training Center. That means I train students and teachers to use theater games in the classroom as a way to build teamwork, self-confidence and literacy skills.
I’ve also taught improv and/or theater programs at the Old Town School of Folk Music, The Second City Teen & Youth Summer Boot Camp, West Ridge Park District in Highland Park, Emerald City Theatre Company, Novel Ideas and the Chicago Improv Festival.
I earned my MS in Elementary Education from Mercy College while teaching Second Grade in the Bronx, NY, as a corps member of Teach For America.
